SAMUEL POV
I shocked. Can you all believe this? I just doubted my little sister. What happened now made us get suspicious of her. No more doubts anymore. I'm sure she is the one who knows everything about us. The scene was very humorous, and I couldn't control my laughter. "Bethany, do you regret what you asked just now? I mean, we didn't say where we get this ruby from, but now I remember your question. You said the crime scene. We didn't say that, and how did you know about it?" Godwin asked her, but she stood there silent. "Come on. We are all friends. Tell us the truth." Lexi said while moving towards her. Bethany moved from there, going backward. "Friends? We are not friends! You and I are not siblings! It just fated that way! What did you say? CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT!? Aren't you guys curious about your past? You, Alexia, don't you want to know about your fated partner? You, Covi, don't you want to find your past birth lover and complete your vow? Aren't you curious about the rabbit which turned into a woman? Don't you want to know who killed Sam? Aren't you curious about the 'PRINCE' they talked about in your dream? You, Sam, aren't you curious about your nightmare as well? What about the visions you saw when you arrived here? Compare to you three mine, is nothing!" She yelled dozens of questions and went out before hearing from us.
Lexi went to the couch and settled herself while her lips let out a question. "Who is the woman?" Godwin didn't know what to answer either I had an answer. I went to sit beside her and let out a big sigh. "Shouldn't we visit the lady fortune-teller now? We have enough questions, and we will be able to do something." I said to them. Before we finish talking, the lady fortune-teller appeared in front of us. "Did you called me?" she asked. "Ahem..not exactly. Did you perhaps eavesdropped what we talked about?" She shooked her head and moved towards Lexi. "I came here because my baby didn't do its work. Let's see!" She said and grabbed the necklace Lexi was wearing. Then, she realized. The moment she realized it, her eyes went wide out of shock, and her mouth dropped. "Did you cast your spell on this? And you gave me this as a gift for me? Wow, how smart of you!" she exclaimed. "Stop moving! There you go, baby girl. Now it's done. Hereafter I will receive messages on time. Okay, let's get into the business. So, you want to know who is the so-called PRINCE is. You want to know who killed you. And, you, looks like you have cleared many things? Do you have anything to say? You can speak your mind out." She said and went to the couch. Godwin came forward and said, "I think Bethany is the woman who came in a rabbit disguise. She is the one who killed Sam and tried to kill Lexi. The prince might be me. And these rubies hold many meanings besides killing the owner, or someone owned it illegally." He explained his opinion. "I want to know why they killed us. And what they exactly want from us? If we are just fated to meet again and born again, there must be a reason behind it." Lexi voiced her opinion. The lady laid her eyes on me and asked, "Say something or ask something." I didn't know what to say. Lexi tapped my shoulder and said, "tell us about your nightmare. What happened in it?"
I thought a while and spoke, "well, before I came here, I had a nightmare. The nightmare was about a prince standing near a small lake with a girl beside him. The prince and the girl looked frightened. There was a troop of soldiers surrounding them. Out of nowhere, I came between them and protected them. I thought it was just a dream, and it didn't affect me in any way. But the next day, I had visions about Godwin getting stabbed, and it was a girl who stabbed him. While I tried to process it, I had another vision of Lexi getting kidn*pped by the same person. I had no idea how to react to it." I looked up at both of them while I finished explaining. Tha lady fortune-teller chuckled and disappeared from there. Silence filled in the room. Godwin stood up to break it. "Listen up, guys we, have no choice but to doubt Bethany. It's crystal clear in every situation. Everything went wrong when there is another unknown woman. Besides Bethany, we have Lexi. But she is excluded when the lady tried to kill her. If it turned out I'm the prince, we should think about what she will get from me. You might be one of my soldiers, and Lexi is your sister. Then, who Bethany was in her last birth? How did she get to know about your nightmare and visions? The night I had the dream, you said Bethany wasn't in there. Then, how did she know about it? Lexi's mission was something that we didn't know until Lexi told us. How did she know that? How did she acknowledge that the ruby is from the crime scene? We have so many questions without answers. If we need to know why we are fated to one another, we should get Bethany. She is the one who knows everything about us. Before she leaves the village, we should get her." Godwin explained and rushed outside. But I stopped him. "We don't have to dash ourselves. As I said before, my visions will become true. Bethany will surely come here to kidnap Lexi. Or, she will come here to kill you. We should throw the bait this time also. I don't want my visions to come true. Think well to defeat fate. There must be a way to get this problem solved." I let out my opinion and stopped Godwin from leaving the house.
"I have heard about an old man. That man knows much about rubies. Also, he has been living on this earth since the 1920s. If we have been incarnating for many years, we might get something from him. But, he lives far from here. There is a kingdom in the middle of the sea. He stays there most of the time." Lexi said. Godwin looked at me and said, "I will leave tomorrow morning to meet him. Lexi, tell me more about the kingdom." Lexi explained everything in detail. We decided to take action from tomorrow morning. That night, Lexi stayed with us. Bethany didn't come home. We chatted a while and, I went to sleep.
