The next morning Perrie felt cold. She remembered immediately the position she’d fallen asleep and knew right away that Jade was no longer in bed with her. She felt around for her anyway, eyes still closed. “I’m here Perrie,” Jade spoke. Perrie opened her eyes and saw that Jade was sitting on the floor, pen and notebook in hand, leaning against the side table beside her. “I’m not going anywhere,” she stated, reaching up a hand to gently stroke Perrie’s face. Perrie realized that Jade was sitting on the floor instead of the perfectly comfortable bed on the other side of the room so that she could be close to her.
