The car pulled up at the hospital entrance. Xavier and Henry pushed open their doors almost at the same time and hurried toward the inpatient department.
Dora's ward was on the third floor. Before they even reached the door, they heard heart-rending sobs from inside. "It hurts! It hurts so badly! My leg is broken!"
Xavier paused mid-step, then threw the door open.
Dora was lying in bed, clutching her leg. Her face was streaked with tears, looking utterly pathetic.
"Dora, we're here," Henry said as he walked over first, his voice soft and soothing. "What did the doctor say? Is it very serious?"
When Dora saw them, she burst into even harder sobs. She suddenly reached out and grabbed Henry's wrist. "Henry! My leg hurts so badly! It must be broken! It really hurts!"
