"You always seem to pop out at the most needed moments" I joked with a sniffle. Carter giggled before motioning me to get into the car. "Where to?" He asked his voice sounded tired. "Home..please." He could see the beam of sadness that was hidden in my eyes and I was glad carter was one of the people to pick up something so quickly even when I had said nothing specifically describing if I was sad or not. The ride was silent as the warm comfortable feeling again surrounded the both of us. The light inside my house was open and I could see fair shadows shifting. I exhaled deeply before stepping out of the car. "Do..do you wanna come in?" I asked. Carter smiled. "Id love to." No one was home except my sister who was slouched in the living room pretending she wasn't aware of my existence.
