Dan set a mug of hot chocolate on the table in front of me, the good kind topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. I rarely indulged because do you know how many calories that stuff had? But since I’d nearly died this morning, I figured putting on weight was the least of my problems.
“Dr. Kira doesn’t think the hearing loss will be permanent.”
