Hearing Kaleb's words made Lissie's heart melt. Indeed, the old man treated her like his own family and granddaughter. Christian Vistagra made everything possible for Lissie when she was still living with them. The old man was Lissie's protector from the cunning Vistagta household.
“Where is he?” Lissie couldn't contain her emotions asking those questions to her.
Kaleb gave him a smile. “I will escort you to his room Mrs. Vistagra.”
Kaleb led her the way to his chamber. She wiped the tears that escaped her eyes. As much as possible, Lissie didn't want the old man to see her crying. She wasn't the same old, and weak Lissie anymore, rather, she should be the lion everyone should be afraid of.
The huge door opened. Kaleb let her inside until her eyes set to the old man who's sitting at his bed whilst wearing his eyeglasses. He had a newspaper in his hand until the door swung open.
“Grandpa…” Lissie's voice was shaking.
Hearing Lissie's voice, the old man tried to stand up and give Lissie a huge hug but it was Lissie who came to him. She kneeled on the ground and hugged the old man's waist, longing for his love and presence. “Grandpa Christian…” she called him once more.
An emotional words comes out his lips seeing his granddaughter is back. “You're back my dear. I'm so happy… my heart is happy.” He said whilst rubbing the woman's back. “It's really you.”
Lissie hoisted her head. She watched the old man's face with an emotional look. “Yes grandpa, it's me, Lissie. I missed you!”
Amidst the surge of emotion, Grandpa Christian managed to give Lissie a sweet and playful chuckle. He wiped the tears that streamed down his face then had Lissie sit on the bed.
The reunion just happened to bring back the past memories where she was first taken under Christian’s care and left with nothing in her life except the memories with her loved ones. Lissie relied on the old man in the past, and up until now, Lissie could still say he remained the constant she only had.
“You don't know how happy I am now that you're back, Lissie. I feel like my heart is going to explode seeing your well and kicking.” He playfully affirmed. Now he's back to his old self again as if he's not bearing any anomalies regarding his health.
Christian brushed Lissie's hair. Through his reassuring touch, Lissie tightly embraced the old man as if her broken heart had been amended and now back as a whole.
On the other hand, Christian's personal butler, Kaleb, couldn't also hide the happiness he had for them. “You can't imagine how Mr. Vistagra able to survive those years you're not here.” He affirmed with a smile.
Kaleb could still remember how the old Mr. Vistagra sat in front of the window, thinking about his lost granddaughter after the accident. He won't eat until Lissie has found, nor even let someone in and make him drink his medicine. All he wanted is Lissie, and no other than her.
Lissie extended her hand, sought for the old man's hands then held both of it. “I'm sorry for everything grandpa. I know I caused you a lot of inconveniences.”
“Oh sweetheart. Don't say that. I should be the one who should apologize for letting you and your grandmother down. I should've protected you in all my power.” He said, his voice was full of sorrow.
Christian was the one who set up both people who couldn't stand each other. Thinking Colton will take care of Lissie despite his decreasing health, Christian wasn't ready for the whirlwind of stress they brought to him, resulting in Christian to ban his own grandson from coming to the Vistagra estates.
“Don't say that, grandpa. I'm the one who made you worry,” Lissie affirmed with a solemn voice.
Her eyes were reflecting in remorse. Lissie remained resting her head on Christian's lap, burying herself into his body because of the longing and sickness she wanted coming from the old man.
The old Mr. Vistagta took a deep breath and sighed. “I'm so relieved you're alive. I thought you won't come back to us.”
Christian promised Lissie's grandma that Christian would look out for her. The death of her beloved grandmother bound Lissie and Christian close together. Each day, Christian was always reminded of his dearest friend Alice to Lissie. They were similar together… gentle, soft spoken, kind and has a warm soul.

On the silver lining matter, Colton was packed up with meetings he had to attend all day. He doesn't have longer breaks than usual and has gotten busy. As soon as Colton came out of the meeting room, Homer immediately went to him worriedly.
“You look wary,” Colton inquired to his secretary. Even if Colton was the one who was sitting six hours inside the meeting room, Homer is way more stressed than him. “What's going on?” he reprimanded, sensing Homer's unease.
Homer took a deep breath and spoke. “Mrs. Vistagra was called the Vistagra residence. I just found out through Butler Kayden. I don't know what's happening! Should we get worried, sir?”
Colton was tense. It was evident in his eyes. How could Lissie go there when he, himself, was banned? He fully grasped Homer's concern. He suddenly felt worried. No one in the mansion wanted Lissie back, especially his own mother. Only Callie and the old man are nice to her.
He closed his eyes a little before massaging the bridge of his nose. Colton peaked his watch then said, “I won't attend any of my remaining appointments today. Reschedule everything.” He ordered.
His clerical assistant was stunned. “B-But you have dinner with Miss Moore…” he affirmed, concerned about his relationship with Andy.
Colton said less. Instead, he shut him off with a cold stare. He could see how Homer wanted to say a few more words but he swallowed everything, afraid that he might provoke his boss after everything.
Colton didn't bother tagging Homer with him on his way at the Vistagra residence. It's safe to have him there and take over the work Colton had to neglect over this matter.
As soon as he pulled over his car, he noticed countless housekeepers were bustling around. All of them were serving food at the dining area, as if a special guest was here to be with them.
Suddenly, Colton remembered it had been roughly five years the last time he came here. He wasn't even invited to annual celebrations and holidays. That's why he spends most of the time with Andy or with her family. The gap between Colton and his family gave them a huge difference between the two parties.
Out of nowhere, Cindy saw his son and a disdainful yet disappointed look landed on him. “What are you doing here?”
Colton was taken aback. He thought only his grandpa is the one who doesn't like him here but he was astounded to know his mother shares the same thing with him as well.
Colton roamed his eyes around. He saw Lissie helping the old man going down the stairs with a smile on her face. Hearing her soft chuckles made Colton bite his lower lip.
Lissie's eyes suddenly went to the man in front. She stopped to see Colton standing. ‘I thought he's banned for five years? How come he's here?’ Lissie said to herself.
Suddenly, the old man's demeanor changed. The kind and soft old man is gone and has been replaced by a viking who might kill you just in one stare.
“What are you all looking at? Get this man out of my mansion!”
His shout made everyone silent. Colton suddenly clenched his fist, he was speechless and forced to silence himself. He knew to himself coming here wouldn't please anyone unless he's Lissie, the old man's favorite.
