My heart was hammering inside my chest.
I was lying on her bed, waiting for her to finish showering and come lay beside me. I couldn't believe that the day I’d been waiting for finally arrived. She finally knew. I could finally hold her close for as long as I wanted to. I could finally kiss her. I could finally call her my love, my princess, and my queen. I could finally tell her how much I loved her. I could finally let everyone know she was mine and mine only.
The bathroom door opened and she walked out, making my heart skip a beat.
