Lucius looked at the little woman in his arms, pressing her face on his chest, trying to gain warmth from him. At that moment, she felt so vulnerable and powerful at the same time.
She was vulnerable because she was letting him see her weakness. She was letting him know that she trust him even after knowing who he is. And at the same time, she was powerful enough to make him feel emotions he never felt before. She was making him do things he never did before nor ever thought to do for anyone.
The emotions were so much conflicted for him. After the morning incident, Lucius did not show himself up in front of her. The fact that she cried because of his action made him angry with himself, confusing and frustrating him because of his own behaviour he was not even understanding anymore.
