Loving him

CHAPTER 7

Anna was missing Nelson very much. She waited for his call everyday since he left her house after their little fight, but they were no calls or messages. She never tried calling or sending a message because she didn't think it was appropriate since Nelson was a married man. So she waited miserable for him.

She would woke up,drag herself to go to work hoping in the afternoon he would call her like he used to, before she goes to bed but there was nothing.In the beginning of the week before, some of her co-workers had asked her to join them on the coming Saturday.They were going to have a party for one of their co-worker who had just joined their team, he was a young men named Jonathan Becker. He was a few years older than Anna he worked as an operator, operating the machines in the factory.

Initial Anna had refused the invite saying she was going to be busy. Truth was she was hoping Nelson would call and they would meet up. Friday came and Nelson didn't call. Anna spent the night crying, missing him and hating herself for fighting with him. She felt so much pain in her heart thinking that maybe Nelson didn't want her anymore. She didn't know when she fell asleep that night because when she woked up, it was Saturday and she was still hopefully.

By the late afternoon on Saturday she was starting to get anxious. Her phone rang and she jumped and answered it thinking it was him. "Hellow" with tear in her eyes but it wasn't him. The person who was on the phone answered. "Hey Anna we are with the gang hanging out,...... hey ....are you okay?. Anna kept quiet for sometime, tear pouring down her face she couldn't hide her pain anymore. " I'm fine ... it just .... I .... just ....I was sleeping". Tina was the caller, She was one of her co-worker. She knew Anna was not okay, everybody had noticed it at work. Tina was like the mama bear at work,She cared about everyone including Anna.

Tina : "Anna honey why don't you come to us and have fun? she continued to talk to her".

Anna : "I ...don't know... I'm just tired... I want to rest".

Tina : "Please Anna... it will do you good to get out of the house honey.. please "

Anna : " okay .......I'll there... I'll come".

Tina : "Great honey will be waiting for you".

Their phone call ended, Anna sighed and started getting ready to go. She finished and she was out of the house in a few minutes. The venue where the gang was,It wasn't too far from her home so she decided to walk there. She took about forty-five minutes to get to the place where they were having a get together. As soon as she arrived she was welcomed with big hugs and kisses on her cheek. Overall everyone was happy to see her. Tina grabbed her hand after hugging her sweetly and dragged her to sit with her.Everyone was enjoying themselves.

Music was blasting and people were dancing, drinking and enjoying some food. Tina putted food on the plate for Anna and gave her to eat. Anna ate while having a conversation with Tina and some of her co-worker including Jonathan who was happy to see her too. Gradually Anna was enjoying herself forget the hurt she was feeling. She was enjoying the interaction with her colleagues and she wasn't looking at her phone every two minutes.

Anna was dancing a having a blast and she was drinking alcohol too for the first time, something Tina was not happy about but she told her not to drink too much. She was to have two to three cups but Anna was drinking more and more, by the end of the party which was in the evening she was drunk.

Later on Tina was looking for her around apparently Anna had went to the toilet. She was wanted to drop her off at her home ,but while she was looking for her, she got a call that forced her to go to her home in a hurry. She cursed under her breath because she didn't want to live Anna behind . " Anna...." she called out a few minutes outside the toilet. Anna responded and told her she will finish in the few minutes. " Okay honey but we have to go". Anna came out of the toilet and they were on their way when Tina phone rang again "I'm on my way" she answered to who was on the other end.

Jonathan saw them leaving together as he was leaving too.He was still with Charles who wanted a lift from Jonathan who wasn't going in the same direction as him. Charles wanted to be dropped off at his home and he was waisted. Jonathan didn't want to drive two hours to go drop off Charles who was talking non stop and drive back again to his home because despite Tina telling him not to drink because he was driving late he must admit he had a few behind her back. He was little bit tipsy.

So when Jonathan saw Tina he had an idea to ask her to take Charles because he was staying closer to her home and she didn't have to change her route. He will on the othe hand take Anna because her home was on the same route he was going to take when he goes to his home. "Hey Tina can you take Charles with you cause you going at the same place and I will drop Anna home, Isn't she stay on Smith road ?, My home is just up the other road not far from hers please ". Tina hesitate for a bit before she agreed she said "okay since I'm in kind of a hurry it make sense cause you going that way, whereas i would have to drop her off and come back around, make sure you get her home safe".

She looked at Anna and said "honey you go with Jonathan call you when i get home okay ". She than kiss her forehead and got in the care and Charles followed her. She waited until Jonathan and Anna went on their way first before she drove away too.
