Happiness that I didn’t know possible for me to feel anymore floods me. Tears blur my eyes. My hand trembles as Lancelot slides the ring to my finger.
He kisses the back of my hand, stands up then kisses my lips passionately.
“Once we’re married, and have a child, maybe they’ll stop interfering with us. But even if they won’t, I’ll continue to fight for us, and to be with you,” he says.
I try not to lose my smile when I think about having a child with him. Elrod and I tried so many times, but we always failed.
