CHAPTER FORTY At eight, the wine and steak party had turned into a pajama party, because the rain had returned with a vengeance, pounding walls and windows. And before the wine was opened, we’d decided it might be fun to put on pjs and lounge on fleecy blankets in the living room, before the sofa and armchairs. Sach wore a blindingly colorful jungle-print robe over pink cotton pajamas while Adwin sported a long-sleeve neon-green T-shirt over pansy-purple fleece pants.
