Drawing to a sudden halt, Sia spun her head around and caught a glimpse of him. She felt a blast of chills skitter down her spine as their gaze met. ‘Oh no…not here. I don’t want to see him.’ She nagged bitterly insides her. To think that her feet felt heavy and too sluggish to carry her nor traipse forward annoyed Sia. She blamed herself for not paying rapt attention at the voice. If she had paid deep attention she would know the voice is his Before Sia knew what was happening, Lucas already closed in on her, gripping her hand. “Sia!” He called out again, the bubbles of emotions reeling through him are inexplicable and it makes his heart beat uncontrollably. Holding her hand this minute feels like a trophy to Lucas. He dragged in a long, gulping breath, eyes blinking rapidly.
