The rain was too heavy. The classes was suspended for the safety of all.
"I don't know this." Georgie was having a hard time with Mathematics. She crossed her arms on the table and buried her head.
Mochi was watching her from afar. It was too cold this day because of the typhoon. It was making him feel like he was inside the refrigerator. He grabbed a coat from Gavin's cabinet and walked near Georgie.
"Do you need help?"
Georgie lifted up her head and seemed too tired understanding the subject. "I can't get this one."
Mochi sighed slowly and sat beside her. "This is so easy, Georgie."
Their closeness was built after a month. The two became seatmates for the half of the quarter. Simultaneously, Georgie was becoming comfortable with Mochi's company. She could do and say a lot with him.
"This should be the answer." Mochi grinned at her.
"Stop grinning." Georgie slapped his face gently.
Mochi chuckled a little. He pinched the cheeks of Georgie and made her like a pig.
"Ouch! My face hurts." She put her palms on her cheeks and blushed.
He stood up and shook his head a few times. His heart was beating crazily over her. He was wondering why he liked the feeling of staying by her side. At the same time, he was too comfortable. He could be himself even she was not treating him right. He knew that she was too shy at him.
The raindrops were heard outside Erina's door. The smell of the ground was irritating her.
"Help me." Erina was feeling cold because of the weather. She went to her bed and covered herself with a quilt. Her body was trembling and she closed her eyes. This feeling was her first time and this was making her feel ill. Instead of doing her homework, she could not get up from the bed.
"Erina, have your breakfast." Grandfather was calling her but she couldn't move.
"I'm stuck here." She was trying to move but she couldn't.
"Gavin!" He screamed his name.
"What's happening here?" Gavin arrived quickly and almost running. He was wearing his pink pyjamas.
Mochi and Georgie followed the scream. "What happened?" Mochi's hands were shaking.
"Erina, if you're safe, please respond." Gavin went near the surface of the door. He was nervous around them but hid it before his grandfather knew that he really cared for her.
He opened the lock of the door and saw her covered with quilt. "Are you cold?"
"Yes. I'm cold, Gavin."
Grandfather checked her temperature after putting her breakfast on the study table. He was suspecting that she was not a human. He was checking her hands and good thing that she haven't transformed. He was afraid that his grandchildren would see something like her.
"Please, get out of this room." Grandfather put out a small box and there it was, the pill for her.
"What's really happening to her?" Georgie was asking Mochi while they were doing her assignment.
"I don't really know. May be, she caught a cold. The weather isn't good."
"Yes, you're right." Georgie turned her eyes to the kitchen. "I'm starving."
"So, I'll get you snacks." Mochi got her banana chips with orange juice.
"This is so sweet." Georgie was grinning secretly.
"That's I can do."
The atmosphere became bad when he said that to her. "Well, it's not that impressive."
"I know. Perhaps, I can do more every time years pass by. I'll be growing."
Georgie pinched his right cheek.
The grandfather put a basin with lukewarm water on the study table. He put a little oil potion in it and soaked the towel.
"What are you doing?" She was aware that he was there. "I feel embarrassed with you."
"Fine. Let Georgie do this." He was gone for five minutes.
Georgie was smiling at Erina when she arrived. She was focused on Erina's rosy cheeks.
"So, this is how you look when you have this rosy cheeks. You're pretty." Georgie put the soaked water on her forehead and touched her face. "Ouch! You're having a fever."
"I know. I just need some rest before it could be worst."
Georgie left her room after giving her the medicine. Gavin looked after Erina secretly. He was reading and writing about her notes. He was trying to give his best. Although, he knew that she was clever than him. This time, he wanted to make efforts for her. He wanted to stay with her and hoping that she would too.
He was checking her fever if it was cooled down. His nervousness was gone now and the important thing for him was making her feel better and keep the room ventilated.
"I'm cold." She was rubbing her arms and felt her body froze."I'm really cold."
He was confused about her temperature. This wasn't normal. He went to his grandfather and asked permission for him to have a check-up for Erina.
"Don't worry. She's fine. She was having colds." Grandfather went to his room and hid the truth.
"This is not so easy. She needs extra treatment." Gavin still insisted.
"You shouldn't." His grandfather stopped him. "She's will be fine tomorrow. Perhaps, you have feelings for her."
Gavin looked away and felt his heart raced rapidly. "No, she's our family."
"Don't deny. I know you, grandson." He chuckled and drank his wine.
"No! I'm worried at her." Gavin brushed his hair and went out of his room.
"That's a terrible confession, Gavin." Grandfather closed his eyes and remembered what happened to him ten years ago. "That should be forgotten this days."
