Chapter 59 - Why Me?

241 Words
The night sky was peaceful with the waves coming from the ocean. The sand on Erina's feet was making her feel the warmth. She closed her eyes and wanted to hold her memories back when she was a little kid.  Erina's mother was taking good care of her.  "My little Princess Lena, let's comb your hair." She would sit on a big rock and let her mother comb her hair for her. Her Queen Mother was braiding her hair and slowly making a shape of flower at the middle of her head.  "Am I beautiful?, Your Highness?"  "Yes, my little Princess Lena." She was smiling behind her and kissed her cheek.  Erina's thoughts were banished when Gavin went to her place. He was holding a paper bag with foods and drinks.  "Let's have a dinner here."  "How about your work?"  He slowly put the paper bag on the sand and sat there. He was looking at the night sky, wondering why he must do this. He felt like he was having a concern for her. He wanted to tell her all of the things he wanted to say but he was a coward.  "It's fine. I have taken a leave for thid night and I'm tired all day long." He looked at her, sitting beside him. "Why are you here?"  "I wanted to restore my memories."  "Memories? Wait, do you remember something?" His thoughts crossed his mind that she remembered everything.
