The room was filled with darkness when Erina returned home. She was exhausted after a long day of playing dodge ball. She was bruised on her right arm, her back was in pain and her legs were shaking due to running. She jumped on the bed and closed her eyes.
The next morning, Gavin was leaning on the wall at the kitchen. He was waiting for Erina to wake up and have breakfast together. Their Grandfather was busy at the restaurant because they would be celebrating its anniversary.
Georgie was scratching her eyes when she woke up. She was thinking of this day and went to the bathroom. "There's something specil today. I forgot what it is."
Gavin served the breakfast to the dining table. When all were set, he called them to eat. "Let's eat and prepare for the anniversary."
Georgie was surprised when she was putting her clothes."It's the anniversary of the restaurant today."
Mochi came with a questioning look. "What's happening?"
"It's the anniversary of the restaurant. Let's celebrate it together." Gavin smiled at him and continued stirring his coffee.
"That's great!" Erina was eating a red bun and swallowed it. She noticed how Gavin changed now. From being a stern and grumpy, he learned to smile and help others whole-heartedly. It was a good sign that he could open himself to others without hesitation and fear.
He started looking at Erina secretly with a fear of being noticed by Georgie. She would tease him again for having a crush with her. He was afraid of rejection and fear from their grandfather because he adopted them temporarily. So, it means, Erina and Mochi were his siblings. He realized how hard it was to fall in love with her. He was suffering in pain now that he couldn't believe that his heart would go this far.
"It was a mistake," he whispered to himself and met Erina's eyes. It was an enticing look for him. He wanted to stay close with her and make memories that would be cherished forever.
Mochi stared at Gavin while sipping his chocolate drink. "Big Brother."
"Yes?" Gavin turned his look at him. He realized that he was imagining things that weren't real.
"Is there something wrong that bothers you?" Mochi was curious about what was happening around him. Georgie looked at them and her eyebrows met.
"Are you broken-hearted?" Georgie was franked him and crossed her arms. "Well, just think of your future first before having a girlfriend."
Gavin shook his head and teased her, "You're just a kid, Georgie. You must know how to love first before you say that. Wait, have been in love with someone?"
Georgie dropped her jaw when she heard that. She kept silent for a second and not dared to talk bavk to him. She was frightened about being exposed. Her heart was shaking and became nervous. Her hand were filled with cold sweat and she looked at her plate.
"Stop it. I don't know that. You're right. I'm just a kid." She gave him a grumpy look.
He chuckled so hard when he saw her reaction. "Look, who's the loser?"
They walked to the restaurant and all were arranged. The big prints of tarpaulin was attached on the wall and the promo would be available until Sunday.
The Grandfather was busy preparing the ingredients. Gavin put on the apron and helped him and the others conformed. They helped each other and they have fun for it.
