Chapter 54 - Chase Her

Anabelle was sitting on the bench at the rooftop garden. The wind was breezing cool and the cloudy sky was making her feel unwell. She was tired of chasing Princess Lena with her actions and plans. She knew that Arman would be there for her, guarding and protecting her for her own sake. 

Her black veil was taken away by the wind. She was about to reach for it but it was too late. Gavin was staring at the black veil. "Who are you?" His eyes were fierced, stepping forward near her and stared at her eyes. 

She was nailed at her place. She couldn't move her mouth and her hands were trembling. He grabbed her wrist but his touch was felt like it was burned. "Tell me who you are. What do you want from Erina." 

She looked down and covered her face. She couldn't tell her who she was because it wasn't her real face. 

"I just want to be friends with her." 

He wasn't satisfied so he warned her, "If you ever put her to danger, then, you'll get into trouble." He turned his back at her but she stopped him. 

"Do you like her?" Anabelle was serious with this. She was afraid of something else that would ruin the contract. "Please, don't fall in love with her or else, something will happen to her." 

"Then, I'll save her no matter what." 

"But, she reaaly is. If you want her alive, just keep a distance with her." She was really persistent in provoking and pushing him not to be close to her. 

"What's the matter with her?" He was curious aboit that thing. He faced her again and seriously staring at her. He was hiding his fears about Erina. He just wanted her not to be worried anymore. 

Anabelle was confused as she didn't know what to tell him. He wanted to make a spell without him, noticing her but it was too difficult for it. She have an idea to snap her fingers and voila! He was stunned on his place and his movements came back after ten seconds. 

Anabelle was walking downstairs when she met Erina. Her eyes went wide when she met her eyes. Her hands were trembling and cold. She dared to speak but never utter any words. She was staring at her and now, her nervousness went off when Erina started speaking to her. 

"You're the lady in black. How are you?" 

"I'm fine." She acted like she was okay. She was worried about Erina that was why she snapped her fingers and said a spell. 

The place was changing for five seconds. The colors were random picked and then, they came back to the place where they started signing a contract. The fragment of her old memories came back simultaneously. Her head was aching at the time where she was absorbing all the past memories. 

Anabelle was waiting for her to calm down but Erina was too dizzy and nauseous. She was fell down slowly and caught by Gavin who was standing near them. He was watching the two since he moved. 

"What happened?" He was asking her, pretending that she was unknown to him. 

"She just fell down." Her eyes were worried about Erina and went on the rooftop. She was calming herself by saying that she was alright after knowing the truth.
