The stars from the night sky were shining and twinkling. The wind was calm like the waves of the ocean. It was a night camp where Gavin and his grandfather were busy doing the tent.
"Hey, could you please help us?" Georgie was annoyed as Mochi was staring at her. She was holding a pile of woods that would be used for the bonfire later. It was Georgie's choice to celebrate her birthday at the ocean.
Mochi put the woods two meters away from their tent. "Do you think we can see the falling stars here?"
Georgie was confident to see the falling stars from the night sky. "Yes."
"Then, what does it look like?"
"It's beautiful."
Mochi giggled. "That's good. Perhaps, we can see more after this." He have finished putting the woods into a bonfire. That's when the grandfather lit it with crumpled papers and a lighter.
"Come, let's have our dinner." Erina put the barbeques, fried chicken, vegetable salad, carbonara, bottle of beers on the table.
"Then, here's your cake!" Gavin lit the its candle and found his sister grinned. This was their first time celebrating her birthday with Erina and Mochi. He was hoping that Erina would like him too.
He shook his head. "No, there's no way for it."
"What did you say?" Erina looked at his eyes.
"Nothing. I just need a bottle of beer." He opened the first bottle and drank it. He was slapped on his head by his grandfather.
"You should eat first before that." His grandfather seemed so angry that was why he gave him a piece of friend chicken in his mouth.
Gavin's thoughts was distracted. He was watching every move of Erina. He was making himself conscious about how she was eating and talking.
Their glances met each other but appears to be shy together. They felt like there was something boundaries that couldn't be touched. It was making difficult for themselves as they were growing closer.
He was wishing about her being not just as friend but something more. All he could overthink about was his situation with his grandfather.
Certainly, the whole night was starting to begin with laughter and happiness by having some talks about relationships with each other. Their grandfather found joy with them. At least, his wish became true. He would never worry about disappearing in this world, full of miseries and happiness.
The witch was watching them silently as she was seeing how happy they were. Her thoughts of the Kingdom of Myrthe came in her mind. What if Erina wouldn't come back at their kingdom? What would happen if the ocean would be filled with dark?
She began walking opposite their direction and snapped her fingers. She went to the ocean to see what was happening to the throne. She opened the human sized mirror and uttered some words to make a portal to see the throne.
She saw how Queen Bettina suffered from the whips and slaps. She covered her mouth how badly Prince Andrew beaten was. They were both weak and emaciated.
She felt the guilt she could never feel as a witch. She came to her library and searched for the contract which she and Princess Lena made. She have to do something to save their kingdom or else she, too, would disappear in any moment. She didn't want to be a slave of a cruel former Princess.
She couldn't find the contract which she had. She was panicking as she was seeing how the kingdom was broken and turned dark for a few weeks.
She thought of the prophecy which couldn't be true. Whether she like it or not, she should do everything to make her promise with Queen Bettina. She should make it come true.
"How about my beauty?" She touched her face and saw her reflection at the mirror. "Is this all my fault?"
She snapped her fingers and voila! She returned to the human world which Erina was dancing with Arman, their grandfather. She was thinking about talking to him again but she couldn't have enough courage.
It was she who chose to live peacefully in the ocean because Arman loved another woman named Susana. Her beauty could be compared to the beauty of those legendary women. She was a cheerful, loving and caring woman.
"Is this really my fault? I'm still choosing my own interest and will to make myself be satisfied?" She saw how he danced gracefully at his age. If she could only return the time with time machine, she would tell him the truth or make everything right in the first place.
