1588 Words
The whole day wasn't complete when Gavin was not around her side. She was sigjing every time she was thinking about him. She wanted to go home and to take care of him.  It was yesterday dawn when they found that he was bathing with his sweat. His body was a little bit chilled and yet, he was coughing lightly. He sneezed and covered himself with his blanket.  "Is he really okay?" She was thinking about his food for lunch or snacks. She went back to their house and made a full meal. She made sandwiches and a porridge.  She saw how he was chilling on his bed. "Here's your porridge."  He groaned. "I don't want to eat. It doesn't have any taste in my mouth if ever I eat."  "Please, you need this or even water."  "No."  She felt annoyed but patiently pleased him. "Let me take care of you."  "No, I don't want to. I can manage myself." He fell asleep when she was slightly slapping his face. "Don't do this to me, please."  She went to their grandfather's small garden at the back of their house and picked some leaves and flowers. She was making a potion for his fever.  She mixed the ingredients until it was powderized and put it in the heat of water.  "Gavin, here's your medicine."  "No." He was still refusing for her help that was why she drank the potion and gave it through kissing him on his lips. Gavin's eyes went wide when he became awake from having a high temperature.  He thought he was imagining himself kissing her or dreaming but this was for real. He was slightly pushing her a little but she insist on kissing him. She made it thrice to empty a glass of potion she made.  Why did he feel like his heart bursting? Was it for her kiss?  He acted on her like this. "Why did you kiss me? Kiss on my lips." He wiped his mouth with his palms and turned his back at her. Although, in a short period of time, he felt her gentleness and care for him. Now, he would make Morpheus for being jealous once he got out from his room.  "It's your medicine. I hope you'll feel better." Erina waved good-bye while Gavin was secretly grinning over his pillow.  His heart was having feast at how she was treated by her. If he could be on her shoes, he would do the same thing. He was mesmerized by her pinkish lips, her hazel eyes were pretty, her nose was cute and her small-shaped face was making him to pinch it.  Erina closed the door and touched her chest for her heart was pounding loudly. She was trying to calm herself, closing her eyes praying to stop her heart.  The memories came across her mind again that kept her heart beating wildly.  "This is something worst ever in my life. How could I kiss him like that?" She almost jumped when the door was about to open. "You startled me."  Gavin acted like he needed help. "Erina... Help me to wash my face."  "What?" Erina's face reddened. "What should I do?"  "Just help me wash my face." Erina helped him to the restroom. She put a clean towel and a basin to the sink. She soaked it there and wrung it. She wiped his face using the soaked towel.  He began to unbutton his top pyjamas while Erina was stunned at him. "Wh-what are you doing?"  "Just let me do this. Please, get out."  She was nervous when she got out from the restroom. She was sweating bullets when he did that thing.  "What's happening with me? Is everything alright?"  "Erina..."  She opened the door quickly and she found him standing wearing his black bath robe. She gasped when he fell on her shoulders. "Gavin."  She helped him to lay down on his bed, getting his clothes and when she was about to leave, he called her name. "Erina, please get me my boxer shorts there."  She slowly looked at him, making herself calm and came to his closet.  "It's at the drawer on the left side."  She opened it and closed her eyes. She threw it on his face and he chuckled.  "Are you nuts?"  "No. I don't like to see things like that. It's something personal about you."  "I see. No problem." He groaned slightly. He was trying to put on his boxers under his quilt.  "Oh, no! I'm leaving." She rushed out of his room before he called for help again.  It was already two in the afternoon when she forgot to go to school.  After weeks, staying from the human world, she began to learn new things about the humans and animals. It was great having good days with these.  Her thoughts came across her lost memories again. She wanted to know what happened to her before going to this world. She saw a man in her memories at the shore. He was smiling at nowhere. He was wearing a maroon cardigan with white shirt underneath it.  "Who is he?" She woke up from her dream. She was on the couch while the television was switched on. She was confused at it. She felt like she knew him and met him once but she didn't know where and how.  Mochi came home with Georgie. "You're too cool." Mochi stopped talking when he saw Erina looking at them.  "Big sis." Mochi came to her and hugged each other.  Mochi's memories were gone too. He was turned to a boy who changed like a human. He was becoming thoughtful about Erina since he knew that they were like best friends.  "Have you eaten your lunch?"  Georgie checked the plates on the table.  "No. It was Gavin's. I forgot to eat." "Well, you need to eat now or else you'll get thin when your true family come here." Georgie's mood became bad and she didn't know why. She prepared their dinner without saying a word.  At her age, their grandfather taught her how to cook. Just in case, he wasn't there early before dinner. She managed to cut and sliced the ingredients.  "Your really talented!" Mochi was praising her that made her blush.  "Thanks.", she said sarcastically. She put the cloves of garlic on the chopping board.  "You're really good at handling knife!" Mochi's eyes were on hers. She became annoyed at him and her heart was wildly beating.  "Thanks!" She forced a smile on her lips and focused on what she was doing.  Erina went to her room and changed her clothes. She was still thinking about the kiss.  Kissing him was a big mistake. She could got him up and forced to drink the potion but she didn't do. She felt ashamed of herself because it was her first kiss and perhaps, it was his first too.  Her face reddened as she was thinking about it. She couldn't erase it inside her head.  "Oh, no! This should not be happening. If only I could turn back the time, I would never do it." She brushed her hair up and tried forgetting the truth. "Just please, stop it!" The knock on the door startled her. "Who's there?"  Georgie opened the door and said, "Just call my brother. I need to clean the kitchen before our grandfather returns. Thanks." She smiled and closed the door.  Erina buried her face in her arms crossed on the table. "Tell me that this is not happening."  Gavin's room was a little mess since he just left his bathrobe on his bed. He was sleeping peacefully while she walked near his face. She grabbed the bathrobe and looked at his face.  His face was perfectly sculpted, his eyebrows were slightly thick, his noseline was beautifully made and his red lips were kissable. She was slowly getting closer to him. She touched her forehead then, her another hand touched his forehead. His fever was still high so, she stood up but she was stopped by his hand grabbing her wrist.  "Don't go, please." He pulled her that made her hugged by him.  "Gavin, what are you doing?" Erina was trying to pull herself but she couldn't. She felt how he was suffering from heat. His body was covered with sweat and his shirt was soaked. "Gavin, please stop this." "Just for a minute. Please." His tears rolled down on his cheeks.  They hugged each other for a moment. She tapped his shoulder blades as he was crying silently. She felt his hot breaths at her back.  "I'm here, Gavin. I'll never leave you." Erina closed her eyes and accidentally fell asleep.  When she opened her eyes, Georgie was staring at her. She woke up hugging Gavin. She panicked as she was on top of his body.  Georgie crossed her arms and Mochi came behind her. "What did you do?"  "No-nothing. It's an accident." She was shaking her head and bit her lower lip.  "Well, it' okay. Grandfather will not know about this." Georgie turned her back at her and looked back again. "Are you taking an advantage to my brother?" Her brows have drawn a line.  "No. He just pulled me and he said that I shall not go." She smiled wryly. "Then, he's thinking of her after many years." Georgie sighed and added, "Our mom."  "What happened? Can you please tell me?"  "No. Perhaps, he should be the one to tell you." Then, she left without any explanation about their mother.
