“Are you going to answer, or are you going to just stand there and gape at me?” David asks.
“I…” I stammer.
“I thought we were best friends. How could you do this to me? How could you betray me like this?” He asks, arms akimbo.
I stand there, speechless because I can’t even form the words to apologize. I did betray him, after all. I take a few deep breaths, regaining my composure.
“David, please.” I don’t know what the hell I’m pleading for to be honest, but it just seems like the right thing to say.
All of a sudden, David bursts out laughing, making me puzzled. What is so funny about me f*cking his daughter? I wait for him to speak because his back is bent and he has his hands on his knees, doubling over with laughter.
