"You're so big now," she murmured. "I wish you'd stayed small." Junior was enormous now. The last time she'd seen her as a hatchling, she had been scarcely longer than her arm from snout to tail. But now she was bigger than a calf. Vica hadn't registered her size before now as Junior had lain curled up between the elder dragon's forelimbs without rising once, but now that she was wobbling forward on all four limbs toward her, it was only too easy to see how much she had grown.
