Constantine stumbled, several times. So did Vica as she walked a little behind him and Dresden, but she kept quiet - knowing that if she made a single sound of discomfort, Constantine would turn around and slow them all down for her sake. And now that everything was quiet again, she could be properly conflicted about how she could be so sure of that. His readiness to inconvenience himself and others if it was to her benefit, that is.
