I had been home from the hospital for a month and things were starting to fall into place. Ari had grown so much. She was looking a bit more like me now and she was a lot more alert. Things were still moving very slow with Matt.
He would come and talk to me every night but for the most part he kept his distance. I was grateful that he had kept his word. I was still adjusting to having two kids and not having Nick. Every day got easier and I knew that I was going to be okay.
Alex was always watching over Ari. He always made sure she had everything she needed. He was an amazing big brother. He had taken everything Nick had told him to heart and I knew he would always keep her safe.
