Sian Hughes is a copywriter, creative practitioner, screenwriter, and writer whose stories have appeared in print and in online magazines, including ‘Scribble’, ‘The Fiction Pool’ and ‘Storgy’. ‘Death and the Teenage Stripper’ was a runner-up in The Rhys Davies International Short Story Competition. ‘Shaving for Dog’ was shortlisted for the Fish Short Story Prize.
A few of Sian’s stories have also been adapted into short films. An adaptation of ‘Consumed’ was premiered at the Glasgow Short Film Festival 2021, whilst ‘Marw Stripio’, a Welsh language adaptation of ‘Death and the Teenage Stripper’, was screened on BBC Wales as part of the ‘Saith Ffilm Fer’ season.
