I got bored of staying inside the room, so I decided to take a walk to the kitchen to get water as I was thirsty.
I heard the sound of a machine coming from the kitchen as I descended the staircase and I presumed it was Adelie in there, so I proceeded downstairs.
"Hey, sister-in-law. How are you feeling now?" Miguel, who was in the living room and playing video games turned and asked me as soon as I walked inside the living room.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you. Miles told me you checked up on me. Thanks a lot," I smiled at him, and he nodded.
"Anything for you, sister-in-law," It felt really weird having him call me that, and even though I wanted to tell him to just address me by my name, a part of me felt it would be rude, so I just let it be.
