Maybelline Walter POV
Miles made breakfast before I woke up, and we ate together.
'Can I take the day off? Lily said she'll be coming over later, so I want to hang out with her' I had told Miles earlier while we were having breakfast together, and he gave me his permission.
After he left the office, I quickly went to my room and took my time to bathe. And after I was done, I got dressed and waited for Lily to come and pick me up.
My phone started to ring as I descended the staircase minutes later, and I swiped the answer button when I saw that it was her.
"I'm outside your gate. Don't keep me waiting," Her voice sounded from the other end, and I rolled my eyes.
"What if I tell you that I'm not ready yet?" I smirked, and I heard her scoff.
"You wouldn't dare,"
"Whatever!
