"Baby." The word kept whispering in my ears as my eyes slowly blinked open. Logan leaned closer, looking down at me as I turned toward him. He offered a bright smile, but looking up into his eyes, I could tell he hadn’t slept at all. Deep, exhausted shadows still hung heavy under his eyes. "You slept for a long time. How are you feeling?" He tilted his head, his face softening with a hint of genuine concern. I forced myself up into a sitting position. Instantly, my head throbbed so intensely I could feel the pulse in my ears, sounding like thousands of drums beating against my skull.
