ELOISE POV: "I just don’t like incompetent service," Dante said flatly. But beneath that calm tone, I caught the sharp edge of annoyance and something else. Jealousy. I could practically smell it in the air. "I’m sorry, sir. I’ll get your coffee right awa—" the barista, the same one who had winked and smirked at me earlier, began, bowing slightly. Dante raised a hand sharply, cutting him off mid-sentence. "Keep the coffee," he snapped. "My wife and I are leaving. And you? Don’t bother coming in tomorrow because you wouldn't have a job by then.
