Emma There wasn’t a lot of time to pull off a first floor face-lift before the Holiday Walk. Three weeks to be exact. I’d called in a favor the morning after my conversation with Jack and now the house was bustling with painters. A fresh coat of white paint on the ceilings, crown molding, and baseboards. A crisp cream for the living room and dining room and for the butler's pantry, which I was remaking into a little bar room, a high gloss lacquer navy over the whole thing–cabinets, ceilings, & trim. The kitchen paint was in great shape. I’d already picked out new cabinet hardware, a new faucet, as well as different light fixtures for above the island. Actually, I was overhauling all the light fixtures: kitchen, dining room, living room, and foyer. That was honestly probably the line item
