Jack Two hours later the snow had started to slow and Mack pulled up in a pickup truck with a plow on the front. The cab was stuffed with family. I think I counted four cousins? Sophie was positively vibrating with excitement as she slid down the steps from the house. “Ok, I’m thinking we buckle the kid in the cab and you, Emma, Tony, and Bridget are in the bed!” shouted Mack. “As long as Sophie has a seatbelt.” I shrugged. Mack hauled a giggling Sophie into the cab and buckled her in while I lifted Emma up into the truck bed, which earned me a giggle. The ride across town was slow but full of laughter as Mack slid the truck around in the snow.
