Chapter 20

"I'm tired appi. Can't we just go home?" I asked for the millionth time but yet she was busy shopping

"Sara, we have just started and yet you are tired?" Anaya appi said making me calculate the time

"Appi, we are shopping for what say 5 hours 30 minutes and 3 seconds." I said looking at my watch

"What?" Appi asked me

"I said we are shopping for 5 hours 30 minutes and 3... oh sorry 5 seconds." I said looking at her

"And from that remove the 30 minutes where you were hungry, the 30 minutes which your soon to be husband wasted, 30 minutes which we got scolded from appi for laughing loudly, 30 minutes for deciding where to go......" appi said counting the things on her fingers

"Okay, fine I got that '30 minutes'." I said cutting her midway

"Okay, now follow me." Appi said and I started following her with no energy left in me

Ya Allah why did I agree for this girl's day?

Shouldn't this day be mine?

But sill I'm bored

I just want to go home and sleep!

"Sara, see this. Isn't this pretty?" Appi asked while I nodded my head not even looking at what she was showing me

We started moving again when suddenly we were startled by a loud voice

"Bohhh...." I closed my eyes and kept my hand on my chest

"Ya Allah Zaim." On hearing his name I opened my eyes to see he and Nabhan laughing their lungs out

"You both scared us." Appi said and I lowered my gaze

"Appi, are you thinking of buying the whole mall?" He asked appi eyeing the bags while she rolled her eyes which was the only part of her face which was seen

"It's not my things, its Sara's." Apps said and my eyes popped out on hearing her reply, while I could make out her smirking

On hearing the reply he started laughing making Nabhan and appi confused while I knew the reason

"O my Allah! Appi you are funny." He said while I looked down smiling slightly

"Why?" Nabhan asked

"Because I know Sara before you all know her and, I know that she hates shopping to the very core." He replied looking at me while I smiled on hearing his reply

"Ahem ahem....." I heard Nabhan and appi fake coughed which made me lower my eyes

"Nabhan....." He said and smirked at him while I could see Nabhan gulping

"Appi.... Nabhan wanted to tell you something." He said and I looked at Nabhan who was shocked

"What? I? No no..... I don't want to say anything." Nabhan said glaring at him and I could see him enjoying

"Don't lie, Nabhan. Tell appi whatever you wanna say." He said and I looked between both of them trying to figure out what they were ACTUALLY talking about

"What did you wanted to tell me?" Anaya appi asked in a low voice

"Hm... that... that my mother?... yes my mother wanted to meet you." Nabhan said and I looked at him carefully to see him sighing while he was silently laughing on his misery

"What's going on here?" On hearing Rumana appi's voice we all turned around to find all the girls present there

"And what are you both doing here?" Appi asked and I looked at both of the to see them gulping. Nabhan whispered something in his ear and his eyes widen on hearing whatever Nabhan said

"Okay, we are leaving. Assalamualaikum." He said and they both run from them leaving us confused

"What happened to them?" Manal asked while we shook our heads

"So.... all of you are done with your shopping?" Rumana appi asked while we nodded. I looked at Muskan to see her lost in her own thoughts. I headed towards her and kept my hand on her shoulder which startled her

"I'm sorry." I said when I saw her looking at me startled

"Oh, its okay." She said with a small smile on her face

"What happened Muskan?" I asked her while she looked at me confused

"Nothing, why do you feel like that?" She asked me ignoring eye contact

"Muskan don't lie. Now tell me what happened?" I asked and looked at everyone to see them busy with their own stuff

"Come with me." I said and after excusing ourselves we both headed towards the canteen area

"Sit down." I said after I saw Muskan hesitating. She sat down

"So now tell me what's wrong?" I asked her again and I could make out the she was deep in thoughts

"Sara...." I looked at her and found her looking at me and her eyes were wet. I was shocked looking at her

"Muskan what happened? You are scaring me? Should I call Manal?" I asked her getting up from the chair, but she caught hold of the hand

"No no, sit down. I'll tell you." She replied

"Spill." I said and waited for her to continue

"I don't know how, but I actually..... you know I think..... I'm......." she started rumbling making me curious

"You? Will you please say it clearly?" I asked her

"I think I'm in love." She said

"Oh that's........ WHAT?" I yelled gaining everyone's attention.

"Sshh, Sara." Muskan said while i was red due to embarrassment. After saying 'sorry', I looked at muskan trying to figure out what she just said

"Can you repeat it?" I asked her while she looked down and shook her head

"Muskan, are you serious?" I asked her while she blushed

"Awww our muskan is in love.... who is the guy?" I asked her while she looked down

"Is he someone I know?" I asked her again and she nodded her head

"Is it Nabhan?" I asked her the first persons's name that came in my mind. She looked at me and started laughing

"What happened?" I asked her confused on the reaction while she continued laughing

"Do you think that I'll love, scratch that, do you think I'll like that jer...... guy?" She said the last part correctly after seeing my glare

"Then who is he?" I asked her

"Ayan." She said and that made my eyes wide

"When?" I asked her the first question that popped up in my mind

" I don't know." She answered me while looked down

"But-but you both are always fighting then how?" I asked her confused

"Yeah, I don't know, in between our fights and all I fell in love with him." She said blushing and making me smile

"Aww..... so our dearest Muskan loves Ayan bhai." I said and smirked at her

"So when are you talking to your parents?" I asked her while she was looking down

"Never." She said and I looked at her to see if she is joking

"Never?" I asked her while we nodes her head

"Yeah never." She said making me confused

"Care to explain?" I asked her folding my hands on my chest

"See, I was always the one who use to start the fight but when I started having feelings for him, I started trying to talk to him like a normal person but then he started making fun of me so I started ignoring him. You know, I think he has something for Aliza di and Aliza di too likes him." Her voice cracked at the end, making me shock

"But how do you know that?" I asked her looking at her who was all ready to cry

"Because I have seen the way he is with her. Whenever she ask any help he is on his toes to help her, but when I ask him for any help, he makes fun of me and leaves from there. He is caring and helpful only toward Aliza di and not me." She said

"But you could be wrong too Muskan, maybe he is just helping and caring beacuse she is my cousin?" I asked her while she shook her head

"No I know it, now leave that topic and come lets go everyone would be waiting for us, but before that give me a promise." She said and extended her hand in front of me

"For what?" I asked her fisting my hand on my lap

"First promise and then I'll tell you." She said and showed her hand indicating me to promise. I kept my hand on her's and whispered a small 'promise'

"You will never let this conversation know to a third person. You will never tell my feelings to anyone including Manal." She said

"Are you mad? I will tell this to Manal right now so that we can clear all your misunderstandings about Ayan bhai and Aliza di." I said and got up about to leave

"Sara please you have promised me." She said

"I don't keep such promises where hearts are broken." I said and started walking

"Sara." She said and came besides me

"No Muskan, I know that it's just your misunderstanding and nothing else. I know Ayan bhai. Aliza di just has a crush on Ayan bhai and nothing else and for Ayan bhai liking her, I know that's not at all true." I said and started walking but her next words made me halt in my tracks

"For Allah's sake, please don't tell this to anyone." She said and I turned around to look at her

"Muskan..." I came forward and kept my hand on her shoulder

"Please Sara don't." She said and looked down

"But I just want...." I was cut off by Muskan

"I know, you just want to help me but don't. I have now left everything in Allah's hand. Whatever is Allah's decision I agree with it. If he is meant for me then I'll get him in a pure form and that's marriage but if not....." She stopped midway

"Now leave that all and come it's your wedding in two days. We have to get you many things." She said cheerfully hiding her pain and walked away with a smile

How can she smile with so much pain within her?

Ya Allah, just how you are fulfilling my wish my giving me my love, ya Allah fulfill Muskan's wish too....
