I was sitting on the floor thinking of what my parents will tell Nabhan when suddenly he popped out of nowhere in front of me

"Earth to Sara." He snapped his fingers in front of me and I blinked my eyes and gave him a small smile

"What happened?" He asked me and I started thinking whether I should tell him or no

"Nabhan I wanna say something." I said fidgeting with my hijab

"Even I wanna say something." He said and I looked at him who was stretching the back of his neck

"Okay, so who's first?" I asked

"I'll say first and please don't take it in a wrong way okay?" He said and I nodded my head

"Actually the day of Manal's engagement ..." on hearing this my heart stopped beating for a while on thinking what he was gonna tell

".... there was one girl with you in a niqaab and I don't know I had a feeling that she is the one for me." He said and looked at me and instead of being shocked I was smiling wide. Like really wide.

"Okay......and?" I asked him still smiling

"So I don't know when my mother saw me looking in your direction and to my bad she thought that I was looking at you and wallahi I didn't even noticed you." He replied and here I was confused

"But you just said that the girl was with me?" I questioned and he nodded his head

"Actually...that...that my mother told me." He said while his ears were now red

On hearing this I started laughing and after looking at my laughing form he also joined me

"Ya Allah and then?" I asked him

"Then my mother mistook it for you and she went and talked to your mother. After you had agreed to meet me, my mother called me and told me about the meeting and I was not ready for that and had acted like a jerk." He replied looking in the air as if remembering the day

"I was all ready to reject the proposal but then something came up and I didn't reject you thinking atleast you might reject me but even you agreed, but later I prayed ishtekaara and I got up answers. My mom was actually very sad when I told her my answer but when I told her about the girl she was happy. I'm sorry for everything and please don't ask me what came up, you will come to know about it eventually." He said looking at me while I nodded my head and a smirk was now on my face

"And don't ask me about the girl too." He said looking at my face and I started laughing

"Okay okay I won't ask you about the girl but I'll pray that you get the girl of your dream." I said with a small smile

"Insha Allah just few more days and then I'll send the proposal. Just pray that she accepts my proposal." He said and looked behind me

"Insha Allah she will accept your proposal. Thank you for telling me. Actually I was also gonna say the same thing that I prayed ishtekaara and it was a no." I said

"I hope you get the man of your dreams too." He said and suddenly the smile vanished from my face

"I better get going now before he beats me." He whispered the last part but I heard him

"Who?" I asked him but he shook his head and started walking away waving at me

I smiled and waved back at him. I turned around and bumped into someone before I could fall a hand caught my hand managing to safe me. I looked at the person and saw a pair of black eyes staring at me with furry in them. I tried to leave my hand but his hold was stronger then I could imagine

"Leave... my hand." I said looking down and his hold loosen on my hand

"What was he talking?" He questioned me and I was confused on hearing his question. Ignoring his question I started walking away when I heard his voice which gave me chills down my spine

"Sara, I asked you something." He said and I gulped hearing his dangerous voice

"Ab-about t-the pro-proposal." I replied shuttering

"So, you agreed huh?" He asked me his voice cracking at the end and I don't know what came over me and I nodded my head and ran from there. I was running when I saw my mom coming towards me smiling brightly. I halted in my track wiping the tears that had left my eyes

"Sara are you okay?" My mom asked me cupping my face in her hand

"Yes mom, ju-just something went inside my eyes." I replied looking down and she kissed my forehead

"You made me the happiest mother alive. Thank you dear for agreeing to the marriage." She said and I could feel the happiness in her voice

"You don't need to thank me mom, I know that whatever you'll have decided will be good for me." I said gulping the lump again and again that was forming in my throat

"I hope you are not angry?" Sh questioned me while I was confused

Angry?

"Why would I be angry?" I asked her

"Because...." she stopped midway when we heard my father calling out to my mother

"Coming." She replied to my father

"May Allah bless every parent a child like you." She said leaving me in my own mess

"Ya Allah I know this is a test for me, and you have planned this all for me. I don't ask you to change all this but I just ask you to give me the strength to fight all this."I said looking at the sky

But there was one question still in my mind

"Why did my mother think that I would be angry?"

After few hours we all were ready to go back to our home as everyone were tired. The whole day I was just looking at everyone enjoying while my heart and mind were fighting with each other

I looked at my grandma and saw her talking to him while he was supporting her with her arms. I smiled at them but quickly looked away and murmured 'astagfirullah'

Once everyone reached inside the house, Manal's mom said,

"Everyone go get freshen up and come down to have dinner and no one will skip it. Is that clear Sara?" She said calling out my name aloud

"Not fair aunty, why did you take my name only?" I asked pouting slightly while everyone started laughing making me go red in embarrassment

"Because you are the only one who have many reasons to avoid eating so I don't want any excuses, is that clear?" Rumana appi's mom said and I nodded my head while everyone started laughing

"Yes." I said and we all went to our rooms

Once everyone were settled at the dining table after some rest my grandma cleared her throat gaining everyone's attention and I knew what she would be talking about,

"So..... it's a no from our family for Nabhan's proposal." My grandmother said and everyone started yelling while I and the elders closed our ears on the impact of the voices

"I so knew it, he was not the one for Sara." Muskan said smirking at me while I rolled my eyes at her

"Yeah yeah you know each and everything right?" Ayan bhai said and I was thinking that there would be another fight but to my surprise Muskan didn't reply anything and everyone looked at her waiting for any reply

"But..." my grandmother said breaking our stares and everyone now looked at my grandma so that she can continue

"We have got another proposal and its a yes from them and as well as us too." She completed while everyone were now looking at her like she grew two heads while I looked down playing with my food

"WHAT?" Everyone yelled while I looked up to see everyone and after looking at Muskan's face I wanted to laugh even in this serious situation

"Yeah it's a yes from both the family and I think you all will also agree." My father said looking at my mother and she smiled knowingly

What's going on?

"Whoever he is I don't think Sara is ready for the marriage." Manal said and I looked at her smiling nervously

"Yeah I agree." Muskan said and they looked at me while I looked down

"She have given her answer and its a yes from her too." My mother said smiling at me while I smiled back at her.

When I looked back at Muskan and Manal I could tell that they were already planning my death

I smiled at them but they totally ignored me

Pathana padega!

"So the marriage will be in 10 days because I want Sara to be married as soon as possible as our flight is the next day of Manal's reception." My grandmother said and now everyone were pleading her to stay while my mind was on only one think

Marriage in 10 days....

I was drinking water when my grandma said something which made me choke on the water that I was drinking

"So let the shopping for Sara and Zaim's wedding began...."
