School and work went by quickly and soon enough, it was Wednesday and I was dressed up in my costume. My hair rested on my shoulders as I rubbed the black under my eyes. I grinned in satisfaction once I saw what I looked like. Luckily, it’s a bit warmer this Halloween and I don’t need to wear a coat, but I’m bringing one just in case. Besides, we’ll be in Sandra’s car and its warm enough in there.
Sandra and Lola were sitting on my bed, waiting for me to finish up my makeup. We were taking Sandra’s car around the different neighborhoods, planning on getting as much candy as possible. As we exited my room, my mother looked at me. “Remember, it’s a weekday, you have school tomorrow!”
“I’ll be home by midnight!” I laughed and she snorted.
“You’ll be home by eleven thirty," she corrected me
