Chapter 32: Unexpected Horse

1585 Words

Nora’s POV Chelsea's horse quickly caught up to mine. She asked, "What are the rules of this race?" "You're more familiar with the track, so you decide. But I'll warn you: your friends said I'm the center of gossip, and everything I do will be scrutinized. So will this race. If you try any dirty tricks, it will get out." Chelsea sneered. "I need you to remind me? That kind of petty trick is something only a country girl like you, who is desperate to climb the social ladder, would play." Chelsea thought for a moment. "Let's race to the stable. It's simple. You know where that is, right? You don't need Prince Kade to guide you." With that, Chelsea squeezed her legs and galloped ahead of me. I followed immediately. I didn't care about winning or losing. Either way, it was a win for me.
