 “Rica! Wake up!! We are late for orientation already!” Mei Ling was knocking my door. Literally she was tearing the door as if she was trying to demolish the whole house. “Okay. Okay. I am getting ready now.” I said as I was getting out of bed and hopped into my bathroom. I was excited to start my new life. We both have a quick breakfast and we walked to the campus.

            As we walked into the lecture hall. The lecturer has been giving us classes schedule. “Hi! I am Ilona”. I turned around and I saw a gorgeous blonde with bright brown eyes. She has the most perfect smile with 2 dimples. She has a slender figure and I almost hated her when I saw her. “Hi! I am Erica, this is Mei Ling”. We introduced ourselves as we would be classmates. I like her, she is charming, intelligent and funny. She is well-groomed and polished. She has designer bag and looks chic. We have been showed around the campus. It has a swimming pool, a school field, 3 cafeteria, 2 huge libraries, many lecture halls and classrooms. The campus has been decorated in greenery and plants. The campus looks like a holiday destination instead of a university.

We stopped at the bookstore. The bookstore is huge with many selections, we have bought a few books. I thought it would be great to work here and read at the same time. I walked over to the storekeeper; he was arranging book at the shelves. “Hi! I am Erica Spencer. Can I check if there is any job vacancy here?” I asked the storekeeper politely. The storekeeper gave me a glance and replied “Yes, you could leave your contact details here. The wage is not high. When could you start work?” the storekeeper asked. “I can start anytime but I have classes. Here, this is my schedule.” I told as showing him my timetable. “We could work around your schedule. By the way, I am Alexander. You could start next week”, he replied with a smile. “Thank you so much!”. Alexander has black curly hair with bright brown eyes, tall torso and wore a black spec. He looks nerdy and charming at the same time.

 “I’m starving. Let’s go to the canteen.” Ilona pulled us to the canteen. We ordered and collected our food. As we sat down and begin to enjoy our food.

 “Hi Ilona! Why are you here?”. I lifted my head and saw the 2 guys from the club yesterday. I almost spilt out my food and choke on myself.

“Hi Adam! Hi Derrek! I am taking courses here” Ilona’s eyes sparkled when she saw Adam.

“I see. Who are your friends?” Adam asked with a smile.

“Let me introduce. This is Erica and Mei Ling” Ilona replied. Adam smiled and said “Nice name. I am Adam. We shall catch up next time Ilona. See you.” Adam winked at Ilona as he left, Ilona swooned and ogled. All the girls around the cafeteria were whispering and peeking at them as they stroll passed.

“I know Adam since my dad is the General Manager at one of his family’s company. He is tall, handsome, wealthy and he is the only heir to such a huge business. He never talks to me though. I heard that he was a troubled child. Derrek’s family also owns many businesses. He is wealthy and charming. His ex-girlfriends were mostly models or actresses. His family also owns this university. They are the most eligible bachelors. It is a beautiful sight to see them together.” Ilona explained.

“Wow! That is a shocking news. Fortunately, we didn’t do anything bad to them last night, we might get expelled.” Mei Ling grinned.

“Last night? You know them?” Ilona asked Mei Ling.

“Yeah. We were harassed by some thugs in the club and they came to our rescue” I replied.

“That is unusual.” Ilona replied.

“Nothing is usual here since it is our first day to a new life.” I said with excitement.

Life is busy with school assignments and lecture classes, on top of that I did part-time work at the bookstore.

“Good morning Alex. What do you want me to do today?”.

“Good Morning Erica. I believe this gentleman need your help to find book. Attend to him first.” Alex replied. “Hi Erica. I need you to find Extraordinary Businesses by Maggie Harris.” To my surprise, Adam is leaning beside a bookshelf, watching me with a smile. “Come. Let me show you.” I brought him to an aisle that holds all the business-related books. “Here you go.” I handed over the book.

“Thanks. There is something else that I need.” he whispered as he put his arm on the bookshelf and trapped me in front of him. I could smell his shower scents. His eyes were scanning my body and he smirked as he gazed into my eyes. OMG he just mind-f*cked me. I flushed even though my mind told me to calm down.

 “Yes. What else are you looking for?” I snapped. “I am looking for your phone number.” he replied.

 “Oh! You could always come here to look for me if you need any help on books. Would you excuse me? I have more work to do.” I replied as I tried to escape his charming blue eyes and his muscular perfect body.

            What does he want? He could have anyone in his arm. I just want to graduate peacefully and leave this place.

“Bye Erica. I would see you again.” Adam told as he left the bookstore in a breeze. Adam could freaking read my mind.

“Are you ok sweetie?” Alex asked.

“Yes. I am alright. I am just a little confused.” I replied.

“Don’t dwell on it. Just focus on your work. You will do great.” Alex encouraged me. “Thanks Alex”. Alex has been showering me with gifts which I rejected and returned to him. He is nice and warm. He is a great friend and nothing else.
