Freya’s POV Jax hadn’t been exaggerating with his threat. When our kiss on the training mat finally ended, he didn’t let me go. In one smooth motion, he stood and simply lifted me into his arms as though I weighed no more than a feather. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck, letting him carry me wherever he wanted. As he walked across the arena and climbed the concrete stairs, he never looked back. The members of the pack watching us from the other side of the room respectfully averted their eyes. They could feel the dense, possessive energy radiating from their Alpha, a silent message that none of them dared interrupt. By the time we reached the quiet, deserted clubhouse and closed the heavy wooden bedroom door behind us, the outside world ceased to exist. O
