Jig offered an easy smile, unbothered by Theo’s threatening tone. “Oh, hey, Anna’s mate—Alpha Carter, right? She called me earlier and asked me to run some errands for her,” he explained. “I’m just dropping off some stuff. I don’t think she’s coming back here anytime soon.” Theo’s scowl deepened, his jaw tightening. His wolf stirred inside him, urging him to punch the man, but he held back. Barely.
