Molly The room feels suddenly smaller. “And if I don’t want to stay,” I ask quietly. Charles does not hesitate. Not even a second. “That’s impossible.” I laugh, sharply. “Wow. Love the confidence.” He stands, towering now. “The bond Molly. You feel it. You always have.” I open my mouth to argue, then stop. Because the truth hits me all at once, ugly and inconvenient.
