Charles I stand near the center of the empty space, hands in my pockets, my coat hanging neatly on my shoulders. My men are positioned around the warehouse, silent and alert, watching every entrance. And yet… That bastard is late. More than thirty minutes late. I glance at my watch again, jaw tightening. Carl really has the nerve to keep me waiting. Does he think I am joking with him?
