Molly His face brightens immediately. Fifteen minutes later we’re inside his car heading toward the beach. Josh keeps smiling almost the entire drive. It makes me uneasy because I don’t want him misunderstanding this. I don’t want him thinking this means anything more than a quiet afternoon away from everything else. I agreed because I needed quiet, not because something between us changed. Still, I don’t say anything. The beach comes into view sooner than I expect.
