Molly I don’t even realize I’m crying at first. We’re in the car. Charles is driving. The engine is loud and steady and everything feels too normal for what just happened. My hands are in my lap and they’re shaking. I try to breathe quietly. I really do. I don’t want him to hear it. But then one tear slips down and I wipe it away fast. Then another. Then I can’t stop.
