I can’t believe it. He’s tied me up again, this time to the pole dancer’s pole. I’m naked. Pa’s twine digs into my wrists and ankles. I have to hold myself up at an awkward angle, knees bent and the pole hard up in my butt crease, or I’ll topple forwards and the twine will dig stull further into the soft flesh of my wrists. Dwight has thoughtfully positioned me so that I get to stare at Frank’s arms and legs dangling from the hoop, a sight that looks haunting and sinister in the gloom. Blood drips slowly from the jagged wounds, and the coagulating puddles are drying at the edges. The guy is obviously sick and deranged, and he’s terrifying me. I try not to tremble. I’m going to die.
