Twerk is based on extensive first-hand accounts from strippers. A big thank you to one and all for providing me with a solid understanding of what it is like to work in the industry. This book would not have been possible without you! I was also inspired by Jacqueline Frances’ hilarious and informative book, Striptastic! Twerk began as flash fiction of just a few hundred words, originally published by Backhand Stories in 2016, after I was talked through a lap dance.
