“What is vanity?” I ask myself. I ask myself that a lot. The dictionary definition states: ‘excessive pride, an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or achievements.’ ‘excessive pride, an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or achievements.’In a nutshell, it’s self-admiration. Vanity blinds a person to who they really are. Someone humble. An ordinary mortal. We are all just ordinary mortals. A humble person is someone who knows her place. I often think about what might have become of her had she had but a flicker of humility in her soul. But oh, how callous she has become! How blinded by hubris! I have watched her grow from a slip of a silly girl into a woman with curves, and as her body transformed, so did her attitude, more’s the pity. Things could have been sweet, so
