34Daphne came in early and got me up. She knew not to bother Skye, who always slept until noon on weekends and swore at you if you tried to get her up early. So I went quietly into the living room and watched Dora the Explorer with the kids. “Daphne, go wake Skye,” said Riva, as she picked up their cereal bowls. “It’s almost noon and I want her to at least wash some dishes before I leave.” Daphne came back a few minutes later. “She won’t wake up.
