10I couldn’t believe that Skye was smoking a cigarette just a block from school, right in front of the crossing guard. Class had just let out and we were walking to Ice Scream to get a smoothie. Olympic Boulevard is a busy street and I had to yell so she could hear me. “Put the damned cigarette out. That is so stupid.” “It’s not like we’re on school grounds,” she replied.
