Skye From HeavenI see you standing on a mountaintop, a baby in your arms. You will sleep well tonight, between the baby’s cries. Your heart can hold a lot. Time floats back and forth. I watch my drunken words go up in flames and see your tears full of questions. I want to tell you that pain will always come again, but that it will also pass. I listen to your footsteps, moving forward and see that you are learning not to look down and never to look back. I see you write our names on colored prayer flags and hang them in the wind. I hear you laugh at Lama’s questions and ask a few yourself. I watch as you begin to realize that some truth has no words. It just lives deeply in our souls. PART III LOS ANGELES 2015
