Skye From HeavenThere were storms at first and wild angry spirits sped past me as I tried to dodge their hideous faces. A red-nosed beast swirled around me like a deafening tornado. Parrots screeched obscenities and licked my eyes with sandpaper tongues. Marbles and planets and daggers flew by. Purple lightning shook the black sky. After the tunnel there were dreams. Ghosts with pink lipstick and a woman with wings where her heart used to be. See-through bodies with gardens of colorful flowers in their chests, veins like tree roots and ribs made of grape vines. Peacocks with a thousand eyes and I could see through every one. Then, just like the song, a white dove opened its wings for me. I held a lamb that Jesus raised and floated down a path of gold.
