16Skye’s mother, Riva, was asleep and Skye’s little sisters sat on the couch that was made from an old car seat, watching Dora the Explorer. Daphne and Sabrina were excited that Skye was home. Sabrina hugged Skye and Daphne jumped into my arms, her long blond curls tickling my face. Sabrina’s hair was dark and she had ocean-blue eyes. They both had big kissy lips and were as beautiful as their ex-model mom. I wondered what my sister would look like, if I had one. But I knew I never would. I was destined to be an only child.
