CHAPTER NINETEEN ALF PULLED THE H2 UP to a massive, dilapidated barn and stopped. He sat there for a moment, his gaze skimming the area for the cameras. He found one up under the eaves directly over the door and another one blinked from a large branch of a nearby oak. He climbed out of the car and stood beside it, letting the electric eye slide over him—identify him—before he started walking slowly toward the barn. He heard a soft whirring sound as he left the hot sun of the yard and entered the big old structure.
