The day after Emmeline's birthday party. Ignoring for a moment all the shocking events that happened to her at last night's party, today Emmeline focused on the jewelery exhibition held in Paris, where her company, Karfis & Vin, was listed as one of the participants. Emmeline herself was also present at the event, to directly monitor her team. Likewise Mr. Piers, as one of the seniors in the Karfis & Vin jewelry designer team. He also came, to accompany Emmeline, who he had considered like his own daughter. Several female models had been prepared backstage. They would be wearing and displaying some of the collections that Karfis & Vin brought today. Chloe was in the back making sure all the preparations went smoothly, while Emmeline, was at the front, side by side with Mr. Piers, meeting their big customers who some of them had come to the exhibition specifically to visit them, including new guests who quickly fell in love with their product. Mr. Piers, occasionally fulfilled customer requests to explain in detail what materials were contained in the jewelry he designed, or the philosophical values behind some jewelry designs. Likewise with Emmeline Karfis, because apart from being the founder, she was also the direct creator of some of Karfis & Vin's flagship designs. Everything ahead went satisfactorily. Among other jewelry brands, their company also started to have a big name, especially after the several awards they received for their jewelry and watches products. "Mr. Piers," Emmeline said in the midst of their busyness, "I'm going to see Chloe to make sure the models are ready." "Sure, Miss Emmy. Let me take care of everything here. Ah, but lo and behold, there are reporters coming towards us. Do you want to say something to them?" "No, Mr. Piers. Please, go see them. I'm feeling a little tired." "Oh, could it be that you were exhausted from last night's party?" Emmy glanced swiftly at Mr. Piers at the question. But then smiled stiffly. "No, Mr. Piers. You don't have to worry. I'm fine." Emmeline said as she got up, to which the older man smiled and nodded his head. Emmeline took a deep breath as she walked towards her staff who were preparing the models, and in just the next few seconds she heard a model squeal. "What are you doing? Can't you be careful? Who are you, how dare you come in here?" Emmeline was taken aback, more at the shocking sound than the complaint itself. "Can't she speak quietly?" Emmeline muttered. "Ah, look! The girl ran!" shouted the same voice. Emmeline was getting more and more curious. Moments after reaching where the model was standing, Emmeline was surprised to find the model's clothes wet and dirty with spilled drinks. "Oh, Miss Karfis," sighed the model nervously and smiled stiffly. "What is this?" Emmeline asked, but she didn't wait for an answer but instead turned her gaze to the direction of the commotion, where one of her subordinates seemed to be trying to catch up to the girl who was being scolded by the model. Fortunately the pursuit was pursued without cursing and shouting. That's good, according to Emmeline, because noise will only get people's attention. But the problem developed. Chloe Levine, Emmeline's assistant, was seen carrying a small jewelry box, and she was literally getting it out when the young troublemaker girl bumped into her in a frenzy. "Oh my gosh!" Chloe shrieked in surprise. Emmeline immediately ran over to her. The troublemaker girl had been successfully stopped after that last act. One of Emmeline's men held her. While Chloe looked pale as she told the others to immediately look for the jewels that had bounced off. "Chloe!" cried Emmeline. "The emerald ring bounced, Miss Emmeline," said Chloe. "I-I'll find it." Chloe threw a sharp, irritated look at the young troublemaker she didn't know. Chloe looked pale and held her head in both hands. "Ugh! You bastard!" she snarled at the young girl who was also very pale. Her body was shaking and frightened. Emmeline didn't have a chance to pay attention to the girl. Including getting angry or whatever. The emerald ring bounced off and if the item was lost then that would mean she would lose hundreds of thousands of euros just for a stupid thing. Emmeline was impatient just waiting for her men to find the missing jewellery. She rushed over to find it. "It shouldn't have disappeared, and it's still around here," Emmeline muttered. "Come on everyone, quickly find it!" The atmosphere seemed tense for a moment. Chloe kept sighing in fear and anxiety, and she also said quietly, "I don't know how far the ring bounced, because that girl hit me really hard. Ah, my God, help me." Emmeline felt like her mind was now splitting. She still needed to see some important people, and she knew the media would still be arriving and she couldn't possibly not serve them. The award they received from Switzerland for their watch products recently had caught the attention of connoisseurs of luxury accessories collections, and that, according to Mr. Piers, would still be a hot topic for journalists to explore and ask about. Emmeline had to come back to the front. She got up quickly, and in the midst of her breath she said bluntly to Chloe, "Find the ring, Chloe. Get the models ready too. The show isn't over yet. Get things done. Remind the models not to bring this tension in their faces when they come out." "Okay, Miss Karfis. Calm down. We'll clean up the mess here." Chloe, responded obediently. As usual, she always behaved like a subordinate to her boss in front of all the other staff, although when she was alone with Emmeline, she could quickly turn into advisor because of their friendly relationship. Emmeline got up and left, and it was a sure thing for her, to come back across in front of the unfamiliar troublemaker girl, who was being held tightly by one of Emmeline's men. Emmeline stopped in front of them. "What should we do with this girl, Miss Karfis?" Emmeline was silent for a moment. Just a moment before then said, amidst a thoughtful expression, "Keep her here. I certainly need to talk to her a lot." The order was obeyed by her men, and when Emmeline had only taken a few steps, she stopped again. The model that the young girl had run into now stopped in front of Emmeline, and then smiled stiffly. Her face was still dominated by an angry expression, and in her fleeting glances at the girl who bumped into her, Emmeline could tell that it seemed that the model's arrival was to rebuke the young girl who had bumped into her whose face was now even paler. Emmeline cleared her throat. "You haven't changed your dress yet?" Emmeline, calling Chloe in one call. Chloe came swiftly. "Change her dress, Chloe! Immediately put on her the jewelry she has to show everyone." "Okay." "And you," Emmeline continued to the model straightforwardly, "prepare yourself for your assignment, and don't waste time on anything else. One more thing," Emmy said brightly, "our jewels won't look good on your angry face. You calm yourself down. Everyone here must do a good job." Emmeline left. The model nodded again, and she no longer stood a chance for anything, as Chloe immediately pulled her to ask her to change into her dress, leaving the rowdy girl, who was still very pale. ***
